POSTPONED! "UNDERLYING" NOW OPENS THIS SUNDAY, 6PM @ META HOUSE
Dear friends and colleagues!
Please read the following two notifications:
1. First we would like to apologize that the
OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION «UNDERLYING»
UNDER THE ROOF OF THE MEKONG ART & CULTURE PROJECT
is now finally postponed to Sunday, 23rd, 6PM @ META HOUSE
(due to custom clearance problems)
- it's neither today, nor tomorrow (as stated in an SMS yesterday)!
'Underlying' is the first traveling exhibition co-curated by four curators from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam. Their aim is to explicit the contextual interpretations and expressions of people living in this region through art practices, and to encourage an understanding among audiences of various nationalities. The curators from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam have interpreted the main theme, 'Underlying', based on contexts developed in their own locations, and present their results through the curatorial practice.

THERE WILL BE GREAT ART, SOME DRINKS AND SNACKS...

2. CINEMEKONG @ META HOUSE: Because of the same issue we are also not able to show the documentary WIDOWS' FARM tonite, Friday, 21st. It will be replaced by the wonderful documentary HEAVEN'S MEADOW by German filmmaker Detlev Neufert about a children's village for HIV positive kids in Thailand.
MEKONG TV films tonite also include:
The artful doc film BURMA ALL INCLUSIVE (director: Roland Wehap)
and shorts by young SE Asian filmmakers
under the roof of the IMAGENING THE PROJECT.
The program starts tonite, Friday, 7PM. Free Admission.
