Chhim Sothy is one of the leading contemporary Khmer artists.
For this exhibition, Chhim Sothy has put a much stronger emphasis on motifs and backgrounds from ancient Khmer paintings, which are surrounded by his highly detailed Cambodian figures.
This is a new direction for a Cambodian artist, Chhim Sothy bringing traditional painting techniques into the contemporary scene with this new series of paintings, completed with many symbols of Khmer tradition.
