Tonite @ Meta, 8PM: Cardamoms & CAMBODIANA

Dear Film Friends!

Tonite THUR, 30/10, 8PM we woud like you to invite for a screening of the
film CAMBODIANA.
In her first documentary Estelle des Dorides takes the audience on a
52-min trip to the Cambodian Cardamon Mountains. The mountain range is
home to 14 endangered and threatened mammal species including Asian
elephant, Indochinese Tiger, Malayan sun bear, pileated gibbon, Irrawaddy
and humpback dolphins, and half of Cambodia’s bird species. (Filmmaker
will be present at the Screening).

Swaziland is the last absolute monarchy in the world and one of the few
African countries that has never faced a civil war. This portrait of a
nation in transition juxtaposes the opulent life of the royal family to
the bare subsistence of Swazi citizens. By Michael Skolnik (2007, 83min.)
