1) I Haven't Requested a Ballot!

- Go to org/10> and print out your FPCA form (ballot request) and FWAB (write-in ballot).

- Sign the FPCA.

- Fax your FPCA to 703.693.5527 along with the fax cover sheet that accompanies your print-out.

- Go to 2) below.

2) I Don't Have My Ballot Yet!

- Don't wait any longer. Use the FWAB (write-in ballot)

- If you kept your FWAB from Vote From Abroad, use it.

- If you lost the FWAB from before, go back to org/10> and print out the FWAB and the Voter Affirmation/Declaration again.

- Follow all instructions on the FWAB instruction sheet.

- Write-in first and last name of all candidates.

- To look up your House and Senate candidates, go to: org/node/6684> If you don't know your House district, go to and input your zip code. If you need to find your 9 digit zip code, go to:

- Put ONLY the ballot in a blank envelope - this is your SECURITY ENVELOPE.

- Sign the Voter Declaration/Affirmation. See if you need a witness:
· Alabama: 2 witnesses OR Notary (must be over the age of 18)
· Alaska: 1 witness (dated and signed)
· Arizona: Proof of Citizenship (copy of passport or birth certificate)
· Louisiana: 2 witnesses (must sign security envelope)
· Minnesota: Self Certification by putting passport number or last 4 digits of SSN on ballot return envelope
· North Carolina: 2 witnesses (must be over 18 sign and include address)
· South Carolina: 1 witness – No signature necessary
· Virginia: 1 witness – No signature necessary
· Wisconsin: 1 witness (both voter and witness must sign security envelope– witness must be a U.S. Citizen, over 18)

- Place the Security Envelope, the Voter Affirmation/Declaration Form (and your FPCA if you came from Instruction 1) above) into a larger mailing envelope.

- Enter Return Address – Write your name and current mailing address in the upper left hand corner of the mailing envelope.

- Address the Envelope – Write the address of your Local Election Office on the mailing envelope. The address of your Local Election Office is provided on your customized information sheet.

3) How Do I Mail My Ballot?

  • Go to the US embassy - Go to the ACS desk (1pm to 4pm – bring your passport!), make sure you have printed the postage paid template on your mailing envelope or get one from us at
    the FCC on Saturdays ( resources/media/returnenvelope.pdf> )
    There is a special mailing on Monday, Oct 20 at the US Embassy. They are DHL’ing ballots to the US. Get your ballot in there before 3pm Monday the 20th!
