Dear META HOUSE friends,
This Tuesday, 6PM we cordially invite you to our exhibition opening “IN TRANSIT:
PHNOM PENH’S URBAN SPACES” provides a platform for young Khmer architects and their
modern ecological projects. Moreover we are proud to show the works of MAGNUM
photographer JOHN VINK and drawings by students of PHARE PONLEU SELAPAK Art School
Battambang – as part of the Architectural Weeks(supported by HBS, KA Tours, HP amm.)
In the following two days (Wednesday, Thursday – from 7.30PM) we are hosting the
ARCHITECTURE FILM FESTIVAL - featuring video documentaries which focus on the “crème
de la crème” of contemporary architects and their works: Walter Gropius, Jean
Nouvel, Richard Rogers, Renzo Piano, Frank Lloyd Wright, Daniel Liebeskind, Le
Corbusier, Alvar Alto, Frank Gehry, Toyo Ito, Kenzo Tanga, Andrea Palladio, Zaha
Hadid and Antoni Gaudi.
On the bottom of this mail you will find our complete program infos for this week –
highlighted by the first public screening of KMF’s “Heart Talk” – a Khmer Thriller
“under construction”: Saturday, 20th Sep., 7.30PM.

International Percussion Festival @ Chenla Theatre

For the first time in Cambodia: This international percussion festival in
cooperation with Asia-Europe-Foundation, Goethe Institute and Art Plus Foundation
features famous Khmer musicians such as Prof. Yun Theara and international guests:
Françoise Vanhecke (Belgium), Murat Coskun (Germany), Pierre Stephane Meugé
(France), S.Badamkhorol (Mongolia), Wu Wei (China) Udai Mazumdar (India), Kim Ngoc
(Vietnam), Vu Nhat Tan (Vietnam). Pls. come and move to the world beats!

2. BAUKUNST (Construction Art): This ARTE-TV series by Richard Copans and Stan
Neumann looks at the work of superstar architects and and their most brilliant
creations - featuring Walter Gropius, Jean Nouvel, Richard Rogers, Renzo Piano,
Frank Lloyd Wright, Daniel Liebeskind, Le Corbusier and Gaudi.

SAT, 20/09, 7.30PM HEART TALK
This thriller is a classic “Who-Done-It?”. Khmer Mekong Films and Meta House invite
you to the first public showing - subtitled into English but in rough-cut form.
Guests will be asked if they will kindly participate in a focus-group session after
the screening. (95min).
