ARTIST SPECIAL
THE CLASH – West Way to the World
… were the band who made Punk real, they were the last great British
Rock'n'Roll band, the coolest, most political, most electric and most
thrilling of the Punk bands. Don Lett documented the Clash's seven years
living, touring and recording together without a break, which took it's
toll on the individuals involved and the band dissolved.

WED, 11/06
GERMAN CINEMA
THE COUNTERFEITERS
The incredible true story of Salomon Sorowitsch, counterfeiter
extraordinaire and bohemian. After getting arrested in a German
concentration camp in 1944, Sally is forced to help the Nazis in an
organized counterfeit operation set up to flood and destroy the Allied
economies. By Stefan Ruzowtzki and Adolf Burger (2007, 109 min.)

THURSDAY, 12/06
Arbeitslosen. 3-teilige profunde SPIEGEL-TV-Doku von Stephan Aust und
Claus Richter/Frontal 21 (2007, 135 min).

Eight tapes were found where the last known battle between the Osama bin

first feature film shot in an active war zone!

FOCUS CAMBODIA
THE GOLDEN VOICE
Ros Sereysothea was Cambodia's most beloved female rock singer until Pol
Pot's nightmarish regime took over the country in 1975. Her voice, once
used to entertain, was now her only chance of survival. Greg Cahill's
acclaimed short film (Winner, Cambofest & Los Angeles Short Film
Festival) stars actress Sophea Pel as Ros Sereysothea. Plans are on the
table to develop the short film into a full-length feature film. (2006,
25 minutes, Khmer w/ English Subtitles). Greg Cahill will be present a
screening a do a Q&A.
