Intersection Exhibition @ Meta-House Tuesday

Tuesday, November 04 @ 6 PM

"INTERSECTION"
Reflections on the legends, folk tales and a parade of supernaturals

Bruce Gundersen's 2nd Meta House exhibit "INTERSECTIONS' vividly reflects the
traditional folk tales of Southeast Asia using contemporary computer imaging.
Gundersen's visuals continue to explore his fascination with the interplay
between
the supernatural and corporeal worlds filled with characters that are vividly
depicted through his unique photomontages.

After an in depth research into the Khmer and Thai folk tales, legends and
belief
systems, this New York artist reinterprets traditional Southeast Asian
cosmologies,
reflected in their literature, murals and performing arts. He works
collaboratively
with professional dancers and performers to recreate the scenes. (Exhibit
runs from
4th to 25th of November)

Please be our guest for this exciting show.

SAT, 08/11, 8PM "SHOOTING THE MESSENGER?"
Khmer Mekong Films has made many "message-based" productions for NGOs -
but how
effective are they, particularly when drama is involved? Does so-called
"edutainment" really deliver to rural people? Can messages really change
behaviour?
KMF co-founder Matthew Robinson shows some examples of recent KMF
"edutainments",
inviting audience discussion and debate.

SUN, 09/11, 8PM "FIREWORKS"
Our film series "SET IN ASIA" is back - with one of the best Japanese

emotions. By Takeshi Kitano (1997, 103 min)
