FRI, 19/09 STUDIO H&S: CAMBODIA AFTER KHMER ROUGE
with two great documentaries by famous ex-GDR filmmakers Heynowski and Scheumann
1. EXERCISES - short film about the reopening of Royal University of Fine Arts in 1980 (1981, English)
2. KAMPUCHEA - DEATH & REBIRTH - the first documentary after Khmer Rouge – a must-see! (German with English Subtitles, 90min)

SAT, 20/09 CAMBODIAN THRILLER: HEART TALK
This thriller is a classic "Who-Done-It?". Khmer Mekong Films and Meta House invite you to the first public showing - subtitled into English but in rough-cut form. Guests will be asked if they will kindly participate in a focus-group session after the screening. (95min).

THUR, 25/09 ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONSERVATION FILM FESTIVAL
A selection of winning films from this year's Environmental & Conservation Film Festival held as part of Cambodia's first Environment Week. We will show three winning entries including the Best film, Best Khmer Produced Film and Best Short Film which are aimed at students. All films are in Khmer and have English subtitles.

FRI, 26/09 DOC SHORT FILMS NITE: COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENTAL MEDIA
Community media is where people come together to make media to express a collective voice. In Cambodia, many communities are dependent on natural resources for their survival - so community expression is very often related to those natural resources and to the environment in general. (Facilitated by Graeme Brown)

SAT, 27/09, 7PM CRACKING BAMBOO International Percussion Festival
@ Chenla Theatre (Mao Tse Toung Blvd/corner to Monireth Blvd.)

For the first time in Cambodia: CRACKING BAMBOO offers a platform for an encounter between percussionists with "modern" instruments from Europe and their forefathers, the traditional instruments of Southeast Asia – created by Prof. Bernhard Wulff (Germany). Pls. come and move to the world beats! (Free Admission)
