On August 8th at Chaktomuk Theatre, highlights from the new musical "Winds of Angkor" will be presented as part of CLA's Cambodia Youth Arts Festival by British Composer Sarah O'Brien. The piece will be performed by an international cast and Cambodian artists. "Winds of Angkor" is set in contemporary Cambodia, with flashbacks to the Khmer Rouge regime of the late 1970s. The story chronicles a forbidden love affair between prisoners of the Khmer Rouge, and its impact on a Western journalist who falls in love with a survivor of the regime. The double love story is told through music and dance, and specially designed video projections, created in Hollywood, USA.
