* On the occasion of the upcoming birthday of HRH Norodom Sihanouk we are
proud to
present tonite (SAT, 02/05) @ 7 PM Jim Gerrand's film "THE PRINCE & THE
PROPHECY",
which explores Sihanouk's charisma and contradictions.

Norodom Sihanouk's most important feature film SHADOW OVER ANGKOR
(9PM)uncovers an
international plot to topple the Cambodian government. Not long after the
release of
this film, which pointed out the failure of the U.S. sponsored plot,
President Nixon
ordered round-the-clock bombing of the country.

* SUN, 03/05, 7 PM we are presenting the NU PHILLIPINE CINEMA. The
breathtaking
feature CAVITE (2005, 80 min.) by Ian Gamazon/Neill dela Llana focuses on
(muslim)
terrorists and proves its mettle and drawing power by its searing and intense
representation of a cityscape in the clutches of violence, poverty and
globalization

8.30PM: PITONG TAGPO (2007, 130 min.) by Rahyan Carlos puts together seven
films
about seven lives, seven struggles, seven decisions, seven realities — all
shot in
one take.

Anders Jiras
(Sweden) presents his time-lapse movie GAMMEL-KLEPPE with a pin peat
soundtrack
(recorded at Sovanna Phum Theatre). Presentation is followed by the photo art
documentaries HEROINES and PRISONERS OF AGE by Canadian director Stan
Feingold.
