The Vagina Monologues In Cambodia

Dear Friends,
As you're planning your weekend, I'd love to remind you that the 2nd ever production of The Vagina Monologues in Cambodia should be on your list :).

This show is unique in that it's purpose is to strive for mutual understanding and recognition of the importance of identity, sexuality, love and self-awareness in relation to the broken reality so many women around the world face. It does this through communicating stories of women that are at once funny, informative, striking, tragic and beautiful.

The Vagina Monologues also strives to raise awareness and funds to end violence against women and empower local communities around the world.

This years show in PP will be benefiting a local NGO, Women Peacemakers, that does grassroots advocacy, training and community development with women, men and children to educate them about their rights and to prevent violence.

Also, we are honored to have the Cambodian Garment Factory Folk Song Troupe open the show (!!)

Tickets (Barangs $12, Cambodians $6) can be purchased at Java, Rubies and Khmer Surin.
The Performance is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30pm at Khmer Surin (South Gate). Hope to see you there!

Betsy
