* Friday, 6th: FOREST MOUNTAIN VOICES by various Cambodian directors

Forest Mountain Voices is the first indigenous community media project in
Ratanakiri/Cambodia. Young Tampeun, Jarai and Kreung make media in
indigenous languages about culture, community and the essential connection
between the indigenous people of Ratanakiri & the land. (O-Version/Engl.
Subtitles)

* Saturday, 7th: LIFE'S A BEACH by Nico Mesterharm (Germany)

45 Minute travel documentary on the touristic and economic development in
Sihanoukville/Cambodia – seen through the eyes of 14-year old fruitseller
Soua at Ocheauteal Beach, who pays for her family as well as for her own
education. (Khmer/Engl./German O-Version wiith Engl. Subtitles)

* Sunday, 8th of July, 6PM: RICHARD THOMAS (Australia)

… gives an artist talk and screening about his work as an installation and
visual artist and also coordinator of artist initiatives. META HOUSE will
show video footage from projects he has been involved in both as
co-ordinator and/or participating artist: "the bridge" (construction in
process) project 1998, melbourne (director); "matchmaking" shanghai
(participating artist) 2004; "wanakio" project okinawa japan 2005
(participating artist); "satellite" project shanghai 2006 (participating
artist and curator); "lodz biennale poland 2006 (performance). Richard
Thomas is also a DJ and active environmentalist working with many NGOs. He
works as fundraiser and produced a video documentary about forest
destruction in Tasmania.

* Tuesday, 10th of July, 6pm: MILADA MACHOVA (USA)

… is a painting conservator and completed the conservation studies and
training in California Bay Area in early 1990's. Recently employed at
Oakland Museum of California, where she cares primarily for the California
painting collection. Field of expertise covers preventive collection care,
and conservation/preservation treatment of paintings of various media on
canvas or wooden support, wall paintings, gilded and painted wood, and
lacquer objects. At META HOUSE Milada Machova holds a talk on "Preventive
Conservation" - including general guidelines for handling art, storing, and
displaying, but mainly creating an optimal "sustainable" environment, which
would help to slow down deterioration, or even prevent damage of artworks.

* Wednesday, 11th of July, 6pm: BRUCE GUNDERSEN (USA)

…opens his solo exhibition "HEARTS OF DARKNESS - HEARTS OF LIGHT:
Reflections on the Reamker and the Ramakien" @ META HOUSE. Gundersen's color
photomontages vividly reflect the traditional myths of Southeast Asia using
contemporary computer imaging. Bruce Gundersen's career has encompassed
performance art, filmmaking, furniture design and photomontages. He has had
several one-man shows and has lately exhibited the Southeast Asian inspired
work in California, New Jersey and Bangkok. His film work,' fishgun films',
has been shown in New York at a variety of venues. He has received awards
and grants by state and federal agencies.

This exhibit runs from July 11 through August 4. Open: Fridays and
