NEW YEAR BABY is an inspirational film and the winner of the Amnesty
International 'Movies That Matter' award.  It was also a top ten audience
pick on it's premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival
Amsterdam where it was received with standing ovation.   It follows director
Socheata Poeuv as she uncovers the secrets of how her family survived the
Khmer Rouge genocide and became Americans.  What she learns is hidden in
shame also reveals great love and heroism.  The film will make appearances
in 2007 in international film festivals across the world.
