CAMBODIAN FILMMAKERS' NIGHT: "PUTHISASTRA STUDENT TELEVISION"
7PM: "University of Puthisastra Student Television" (UPSTV) is a student filmmaking society which gives young Cambodians the opportunity to learn video techniques & create their own productions. For the last 8 months, four student groups have been filming documentaries and dramas on subjects of their own choosing which have varied from films about street children and drug abuse to more lighthearted comedy features. Although none of the 18 students involved in making these films had any video experience prior to joining the club, they are now developing their own styles and will hopefully make a great contribution to the future Cambodian film industry.
