Dear All,

We would like to give you early notice of an event coming up in Phnom Penh on 10th September. It is to be a press conference for the Cambodia release of Amnesty International's global Demand Dignity campaign and the launch of "Losing Ground", a new book about evictions and intimidation in Cambodia from the perspective of those affected.

Please do not circulate widely yet, but make a note in your diary so you and staff within your organisation may be available to attend this event.  If you have contacts within communities who you believe might be interested in attending this event, please communicate with us so their participation could be arranged.

100+ community people from around the country, NGO's, Donors, Embassies etc etc

Morning:
Press Conference for "Losing Ground" and Amnesty International Demand Dignity campaign and Presentation of main case studies and display of posters about cases, starting from 9am to 11am.

Afternoon: Information Exhibition 2pm-4pm
- Information about "Losing Ground" cases
- Information about many additional cases of land disputes and evictions. (NGO's invited to be part in and contrubute to this exhibition - please inform us if you are interested in providing information to it)
 
All participants, including journalists, are welcome to attend, to seek in-depth information about the cases and the work of NGOs/communities on those cases. Also an opportunity for community to exchange information on their issues.
